Thoughts of opening an additional concept in the southside of chattanooga stirred in 2004. chef lindley wanted to explore true rustic italian, but incorporate regional flavor. exceptional ingredients imported from italy and quality produce delivered from local farms make this vision a reality. situated in chattanooga's rejuvenated southside neighborhood, alleia resides in the old harrington building. the fulfillment of chef daniel lindley's dream of offering simple, italian inspired cuisine opened its doors in april 2009. chef lindley's latest venture is a unique interpretation of rustic italian cuisine, using local ingredients to create an evolving menu. alleia boasts seven types of house made pasta and a custom brick oven that reaches 750 degrees for pizza making. remarkably designed by rodney simmons of revival studio, alleia captures the warmth and comfort of a traditional trattoria, while breaking new ground in present-day restaurant design. trimmed in 300 year old wood taken from the harrington building, the space can seat 150, including a striking communal table that seats 32. the porch at alleia marries the best of al fresco and indoor dining. featuring a generous wraparound banquette, climbing jasmine and views of lookout mountain, the porch provides reprieve from the bustle of the southside. please enjoy.

This was a very beautiful place. Its dimly lit with a lot of candles and great for a romantic dinner. The food is phenomenal as well as the fruit and flower drink I had. A very delightful experience with my significant other and we will definitely be back.

Ordered the family feast pork for 4. There was barely enough pork for maybe 2 people and it was mostly fat. Ordered Sangria for 4 people. It came in a small plastic container, maybe enough for 2 people, and was nothing but red wine. The potatoes that came with the pork was very good and plentiful but not for the price we paid for the meal. The two appetizers were good but overall we were very disappointed.

Absolutely amazing. Our server, Melissa, was kind and courteous. We were kind of nervous going out for the first time since everything shut down, but the Alleia followed all of the guidelines to the letter.Food amazing and drinks were very very good.We accidentally forgot our leftovers and they so kindly called us about it.Highly recommended.

Questions & Answers

The three times i have been there I got seated right away. Never made a reservation. Just call ahead and see if there is a wait.

I did the reservation online and said it was to celebrate a birthday but they did not do anything. Calling would be better. There were people who brought in balloons for a celebration.

Hi Sandra! We will be open for dinner service from 4:45 until 10PM on New Year's Eve, and closed for New Year's Day. For reservations, please visit our website at www.alleiarestaurant.com or you may call (423) 305-6990. Many thanks!
